How it works
When consecutive messages have different senders and are no more than six hours apart, their timestamp difference contributes to the next sender’s average.
Step by step
Open the overview of an analyzed chat.
Find the response-time ranking.
Interpret the average as a timestamp gap, not how long someone knowingly waited to reply.
What to keep in mind
These are not read receipts. In a group, the next message may not answer the previous message. Long pauses outside the six-hour window are excluded.
This statistic for your own chats requires Pro. The sample chat is fully unlocked.
Your first analysis is free. Pro unlocks unlimited analyses, full Wrapped and sharing. See the app for current local prices.
Questions and answers
What do the statistics actually measure?
Results describe the successfully parsed messages in the imported file. Missing history affects totals. Response times and conversation endings are timestamp rules, not read receipts or evidence of feelings.
Can I analyze more than one chat?
Your first analysis is free. Pro unlocks unlimited analyses, full Wrapped and sharing. See the app for current local prices. Each imported chat is analyzed separately; multiple chats in one archive are not a verified import path.
